“When buying fur, ensure you know what you are buying. If the animal is on
the CITES list your seller must have the relevent paperwork that goes
with the item. If not, the item will be illegal to own.”

Our Hares are generally of good quality and have a very uniform colour. Lovely thick
fur and long guard hairs. Great for all early period re–enactment for lining

Rabbit Pelts
The Rabbit is thought to have been introduced to the UK by the Romans
as a source of food. This theory is under some speculation and the
first recorded rabbit coneys are not listed until much later during the
13th Century. Originally from Spain, the rabbit would have certainly
been used prior to the 13thC though as it would have been imported
from Europe.
