Ethical Policy

We are very careful how we select our suppliers and whereever possible, use pelts and hides that have been gained as a By product or from cull programs.

Where not possible, we only use suppliers who are respected in their industry for ethical practices.

To help achieve this all of our products shown are accompanied with an insight into where each item would have come from, what period it covers, what status is attached to the use, approximate sizes and possible uses for the more unusual items.

Warning to purchasers of fur products

If you are buying animal fur from other sources and the animal is on the endangered species list, your supplier is required to have a CITES certificate to sell the item.

House of De Clifford has opted not to trade in any animal that is protected by CITES.
